Keycorp’s proprietary software development environment makes developing state of the art payment applications a breeze.

Workshop is Keycorp's suite of development tools, enabling customised applications on any Keycorp terminal.

Workshop includes:
— I.D.E.E.A.
— service and utility libraries
— application development libraries

IDEEA allows for full simulation on the developers PC and includes development libraries for encryption, user interface and various communication protocols, among various others.

Application code that is developed using the Workshop range of products and libraries, conforming to a common framework, can be ported to any other Keycorp terminal using the same source code with minimal effort. Workshop products are provided as a fully integrated development environment — bundling our programming and testing tools in one package.

Fast track production by simulating products, including hardware and software components using the I.D.E.E.A. development environment, and using the associated Workshop software services and libraries.

Developers can write and test applications in a fraction of the time, and even in parallel to hardware production.

I.D.E.E.A.

I.D.E.E.A. is an integrated development environment with programming and testing tools in one package, delivering:
— reduced development time & cost
— multi-application simulation
— hardware simulation
— supporting service & utility libraries

Develop and test applications quickly and easily with the I.D.E.E.A, a PC based virtual application development environment.

I.D.E.E.A. simulates the hardware and software components, allowing the developer to 'plug in' different Keycorp terminals (such as the K23 payment terminal or the K78 mobile payment terminal).

The actual behavior of each of these products is closely simulated, including a realistic image of the product and other components of the system. For example, a magnetic card swipe is simulated by dragging a card icon through a special 'swipe' zone on the I.D.E.E.A. screen, removing the need for hardware, cables and actual magnetic cards.
